English striker Dominic Calvert Lewin joined the new Premier League team Leeds United on Friday. The 28-year-old scorer's contract with Everton expires this summer and eventually turns to Elland Road Stadium as a free agent. Leeds United officially confirmed that the two sides signed a contract for three years.

"I feel like a newcomer and can't wait to play for this club." Calvert Lewin said in an interview with the club. The striker, who scored 57 goals in the Premier League, only scored three goals last season. He played for Everton for nine years and made four appearances for England (the most recent time in 2021). What is quite dramatic is that Leeds United's first match in the new season is on August 19 to face Everton at home.

In an exclusive conversation with Leeds United TV, the England international revealed his voice to club legend Jermaine Beckford: "It's as exciting as the first day of school. The fanatical atmosphere at Elland Road Stadium fascinated me, and the in-depth exchange with coach Daniel Falke strengthened my choice - his coaching philosophy as a striker is perfectly matched with my technical characteristics. "

"After many years of fighting in the Premier League, I long to show my potential that has not yet been fully released. I feel the tsunami of Elland Road again as a Leeds player, and this expectation is trembling. " Calvert Lewin emphasized that Leeds United's tactical system was fatal to him last season, and Falke's unique insights into the center position led to this signing.
