Hupu News on October 14th The International Olympic Committee recently announced the winners of the Fair Play Award for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The winners are decathlete Sandel Skötheim, host Antonio Rojas, as well as the German Olympic Sports Federation and the German Rowing Federation.

In the men's decathlon competition at the Paris Olympics, he failed to cross the bar in the pole vault event and failed to achieve results, but still chose to continue completing the remaining competitions. Despite losing hope of a medal, he held on until the end and cheered on compatriot and rival Markus Roth in the final event, the 1,500 meters, helping the latter win the gold medal in a new national record.

During the Paris Olympics, host Rojas, as the DJ at the Eiffel Tower Stadium, resolved the tension between Brazilian player Ana Ramos and Canadian player Brandy Wilkerson during the women's beach volleyball final by playing John Lennon's classic song "Imagine." The music made the two players smile, and also made the audience feel the beauty of tolerance and peace in sports.

The German Olympic Sports Federation and its national rowing federation received the award because they extended a helping hand to a neutral athlete from Belarus, single sculls rower Yavheny Zalati at the Paris Olympics. Zarati's racing boat was unable to be used due to being detained at customs, so Germany took the initiative to lend a racing boat. Even though Zarati is one of Germany's Oliver Zeidler's main rivals, they didn't hesitate to help. In the end, Zeidler won the men's single sculls gold medal and Zarati won the silver medal.
