Cavaliers officially announced that basketball operations president Kobe Altman and his team executive team have received a contract renewal for many years, and the new contract will last until 2030.
The renewal also includes general manager Mike Gansey, assistant general manager Brandon Weems, vice president of basketball operations/general counsel Jason Hillman, and vice president of basketball strategy and personnel Jon Nichols.
Under Altman's leadership, the Cavaliers completed a total of 28 trades, including 15 mid-season trades. The Cavaliers introduced Hunter on this year's trading deadline, and Lonzo Ball was exchanged for the offseason. The previous important operations include the introduction of Jarrett Allen, Mitchell, and Struce, as well as the first round of winning Garland and Mobley. The Cavaliers achieved a record of 64 wins and 18 losses last season, ranking first in the Eastern Conference.
