Cole: Myers and I once told Huazi how the Splash KD trained. Huazi was fascinated by this

May 6th News The Warriors and the Timberwolves Western Conference Semi-finals series will begin tomorrow at 9:30 am. Today Cole was interviewed by a reporter, and some of the contents are as follows:

Reporter:

Some of us know the story of you and Edwards, saying that you have promoted his growth. Do you remember any suggestions you gave him at that time? What impression do you have of that experience?

Cole:

This is quite interesting. To be honest, I didn't think I did anything special at that time. We were training in Atlanta at that time, during the epidemic, so almost no one was there. On the spot, Lacob (Warriors Boss), Bob Myers (former Warriors GM), me, Huazi and his trainers. There are only five of us in the entire arena.

I saw him shoot a 15-foot mid-range shot in 15 minutes, and I thought, "When will the training start?" Later I found out that it was training. So I walked over and said, "Can we practice more seriously?" I thought he was quite surprised at that time. They then accelerated.

The most important thing is that at that moment I realized that Edwards was really young and he didn't know what high-intensity training was. His career is just beginning. We had a meal that night, and Miles and I told him a lot about how Guan Curry, Durant and Clay trained, and about their efforts to be great. He listened very seriously and was really fascinated by those stories.

But I didn't care much at the time. We went to see him again two weeks later, and the training intensity was much higher-he practiced very hard. It was then that we were truly sure that he could do it. We were not sure after the first training, but after the second training we were very sure. He had already shown his tremendous talent and personal charm at that time.

That was the story before the draft, and later Minnesota chose him in front of us. A year later, he talked about this in the media, saying that the encouragement inspired him. I was quite surprised, and I didn't expect it to be so important to him. But it was cool to say it, which also shows that he was a young man who was willing to learn and wanted to become great.
