Balotelli mocks Vieira s sacking

8:35am, 4 November 2025Football

Less than 24 hours after Patrick Vieira was fired by Genoa club, striker Balotelli publicly posted a post on social media, making a sharp mockery of the former coach.

The former Premier League star Vieira was fired after less than a year in charge of Genoa. The direct reason for his dismissal was that the team had a poor start to the 2025/26 season and is currently stuck in the relegation zone of the Serie A standings.

Balotelli posted a "celebration": Karma has come

As soon as the news of Vieira's dismissal was announced, Balotelli immediately posted a long post on Instagram, pointing out that Vieira "suffered retribution." The former Manchester City star wrote: "Karma has finally arrived. God sees everything and leaves it to Him to take care of the rest. Now Genoa can focus on those who truly love this club, its fans and its emblem, those who firmly believe that Genoa deserve to be in People in the top ranks."

He also wrote: "The good work done by Gilardino and Zangrillo was not in vain, but was selfishly and dishonestly exploited by those who came after them. They stole everything that their predecessors had built with persistence, respect and enthusiasm." These remarks were an obvious accusation that Vieira had "ruined" Genoa over the past two seasons.

Grudges have been brewing for a long time and conflicts have been made public

The grievances between Balotelli and Vieira have been going on for a long time. The two had conflicts when they worked together at French Ligue 1 team Nice. In October 2024, Balotelli joined Genoa, and the then coach Gilardino personally signed him. However, when Vieira replaced Gilardino as Genoa's new coach, he immediately excluded "Super Mario" from the team's plans.

Subsequently, Genoa terminated the contract with Balotelli in advance. The Italian striker has been out of work since then and has yet to find a new club.

In fact, Vieira’s evaluation of Balotelli has not been high. While coaching in France, he publicly stated that Balotelli's "mindset was not suited to team sports" and that he was "difficult to work with."

Therefore, it is not surprising that when Vieira took over Genoa, he asked the club to terminate Balotelli's contract. Now that Vieira has sadly dismissed get out of class, Balotelli's public ridicule has undoubtedly made the long-term conflict between the two completely public.
