The Timberwolves beat the Warriors in Game 2 on Thursday night, with Chris Finch tied the team's playoff record. Chris Finch made history in Game 2 of the 2025 NBA Playoff Western Conference Semi-Finals, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Golden State Warriors 117-93.
With this victory, Finch won the 17th playoff game of his coaching career. According to The Athletic's Aaron Griman, he tied the team's victory record held by late Timberwolves head coach Philip Sanders.
Sanders led the Minnesota Timberwolves to create the first glorious period in team history. Between 1995 and 2005, he coached, the team made eight playoffs under Kevin Garnett and reached the Western Conference Finals in 2004.
