Cristiano Ronaldo (40-year-old Portugal), who played for Saudi professional football club Anasr, published an article that seemed to preview the transfer at the same time as the season ended. On the 27th, Ronaldo wrote on his social networking service (SNS): "This chapter is over. The story? It's still being written. Thank you everyone." He accompanied a photo of himself wearing Arnasl's uniform.

Royce published an article previewing the transfer.

Ronaldo's article was published after the final round of the Saudi Professional League in the 2024-2025 season in which Arnasr challenged Alfat away. Ronaldo played the whole game that day and scored a goal in the 42nd minute of the first half, but Arnasl was reversed 2-3.

Ronaldo broke up with Manchester United (England) at the end of 2022 and went to Arnasl, which surprised fans around the world. Ronaldo's two-and-a-half-year contract with Arnasr will end this summer.

Ronaldo scored 35 goals in Arnasr's 2023-2024 season, setting a record for the largest number of goals in the Saudi league in a single season and also won the best scorer. But after the transfer, he only topped the Arab club Champions League, which was participated by the Middle East and African teams, and never won the championship in other events such as the league.

Arnasr also ranked third among 18 teams in the league this season. As the contract with Arnasl is about to expire, there are constant rumors of Ronaldo's transfer. Recently, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said on a YouTube channel: "Royce may participate in the Club World Cup. Discussions are being held with several clubs."

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will open in the United States in June this year, and 32 teams will gather to determine the world's strongest professional football team. Cristiano Ronaldo's team Arnasl is not eligible for the competition. FIFA sets the special transfer time from June 1 to 10 local time, allowing the club's World Cup team to introduce players.
