Newcastle is interested in Brighton striker Pedro

Pedro has a lot of admirers in the Premier League and Europe, and Newcastle is one of them, who put him on the list of possible forward choices.

Pedro is a close friend of Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimares, a Brazilian compatriot, although Sky Sports News was told that Pedro would only consider transferring to a club where he was the first-choice striker, which could be a stumbling block to any deal. Newcastle was inspired by the influx of Champions League funds and was eager to strengthen their roster before returning to the top European tournaments. It could be a changing summer at St. James Park, and some of Eddie Howe's forwards have not yet confirmed their future.

Newcastle is determined to keep Alexander Isaac, and his contract is still three years away, although many big clubs are reportedly interested in him. Callum Wilson's contract expires at the end of this month. Although Howe takes him very seriously, there is no guarantee that the 33-year-old will stay at Tyneside after five years of injury troubles at the club.

If he does leave, it will make it more urgent for Newcastle to find a forward, but their need for a backup striker to replace Isaac is not determined by Wilson's departure.

Newcastle has high hopes for William Osula, the 21-year-old has made 19 appearances for the club this season and scored 2 goals, but he is currently seen as a supporting striker for Isaac and Wilson. Brighton head coach Fabian Hezeler said at the end of the season that they don’t want to sell Pedro and he looks forward to working with him next season.
