Manchester United executives support Amorin, but worry that he is under too much pressure to resign

3:09am, 20 May 2025Football

It is reported that even if Manchester United loses the UEFA Cup final, head coach Amorin will not be fired by senior officials. Manchester United currently ranks 16th in the Premier League, losing 18 games, their worst performance since the 1973-74 season. Amorin took over Tenhager in November but failed to reverse Manchester United's downturn in the Premier League, where they were also eliminated by Fulham in the FA Cup and by Tottenham in the League Cup. Amorin assessed himself as the worst head coach in club history, which led to the club's fear that he might leave by the end of the season. In any case, Manchester United is ready to let him implement his ideas and philosophy at Old Trafford next season. The club's recruitment team has set up two transfer target lists, and if Amorin's side beats Tottenham in the Europa League final next week and wins a Champions League place next season, the club will pursue players on this list. But if there is no UEFA Champions League place next season, the team will chase players on another roster. Manchester United Chat Club Post-match chat room Football
