September 4th News Recently, Türkiye's men's basketball coach Elkin Ataman talked about the topic of whether the NBA championship is equivalent to the world championship in an interview.
Ataman said: "NBA champions should not call themselves world champions. If an NBA team wants to be a real world champion, they must beat the European League champions and may even beat the Australian League champions. The European League is full of high-level competition, and NBA teams must play with them to call themselves world champions."
