October 29th: Shams, a well-known reporter, previously reported that the Grizzlies used a hardship exception to sign center Charles Bassey due to the long-term absence of four players.
According to statistics, the Grizzlies became the fastest team in NBA history to use injury exceptions to sign players since the 1999-2000 season (October 27).
The Grizzlies currently have a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. Jerome, Pippen Jr., Brandon Clark, and Zach Eddy have missed three consecutive games. These four players are expected to miss at least the next two weeks, and therefore received a ten-day hardship exception.
