July 22: 31-year-old former Thunder player Abrinez announced his retirement on social media.
Abrinez is about to turn 32 on August 1, and his contract with Barcelona will last until June 30, 2026. However, after reaching a friendly agreement with the club, the two sides decided to part ways.
Abrinez played a total of 660 games in two ten-year Barcelona careers, helping the team win 15 championships of all sizes.
Avrines was selected with the 32nd pick in 2013 and did not make it to the NBA until 2016, playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder for three seasons. In 174 games he played, he averaged 5.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.
