On the eve of the lottery conference, Antetokounmpo expressed his willingness to join other teams! Choose the Rockets or the Clippers?

Decision makers from all 30 NBA teams gathered in Chicago for the draft and will have a substantial conversation around the offseason’s biggest unknown and dominoes: a Flagg Snatch!
At this moment, Shams revealed: What will Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo do?
league sources told ESPN that the two-time NBA MVP has not made any sure decision about his future with the Bucks after the team was eliminated for the third straight first round of the playoffs, but league sources told ESPN that this is the first time in his career to explore whether to stay in Milwaukee or play elsewhere.
The team has frequently approached the Bucks over the years to use Antetokounmpo as a regular training and they are expected to step up due diligence during the United Week, according to league sources.
However, any conversation surrounding the perennial NBA superstar and the 2021 NBA championship starts primarily from where he thinks his long-term future is and whether there is a team that suits him outside of Milwaukee.
The Clippers have hope of getting Antetokounmpo?
Sources said the Bucks and Antetokounmpo representatives George Os Panu and Alex Salasis are expected to sit down in the offseason to discuss the future.
For other NBA teams, team executives, coaches and players understand the focus on Antetokounmpo’s future changing landscape and how it affects all 30 teams. From Monday night’s draft draw to June’s draft night, Antetokounmpo’s chances of being transferred appear to be the greatest in the league’s movement.
Of course, there are rumors that Antetokounmpo wants to go to the Clippers to compete with Harden and Leonard for the future championship. I wonder if Harden has this opportunity? The Clippers can trade Antetokounmpo with Powell and Zubacvil as the core.
As early as the Bucks lost to the Clippers on January 26 this year, Antetokounmpo mentioned in a post-match interview, "It's incredible. Harden is extremely talented. He is one of the best players in history. The total score may exceed 25,000 points. He can still find his own scoring position and still help the team win. He is talented."
Antetokounmpo has experienced one of the best seasons of his career, averaging 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists in 67 games, with a shooting percentage of 60%. Antetokounmpo ranked in the top three in the MVP voting. This is his second straight season of 30-10-5 per game with 60% shooting; no other player in NBA history has ever done it.
Antetokounmpo performed better in the playoffs—he averaged 33.0 points, 15.4 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game against the Indiana Pacers—even though Milwaukee still lost to Indiana in five games.
Milwaukee has a 66.3% winning rate since the 2018-19 season, the best in the NBA during this period. Still, the Bucks have won only one playoff series since the team won the NBA championship in 2021, and Antetokounmpo repeatedly said he hopes to win multiple titles in his career.
"I don't have a second championship - I look back on my career and everyone will say, 'Oh, incredible career, active Hall of Famers, first round of votes, etc. 'But I, my personal goal, if I can't help my team win a second ring, I'm going to go chase a second championship," Antetokounmpo said last month with his brother, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, on the Thanalysis Show podcast.
Reasonablely say that the Rockets have a greater chance. As long as the Thunder does not disrupt the situation, if Durant and Antetokounmpo enter the offseason at the same time is the market, then the Rockets management must choose Antetokounmpo's trading plan, first implement Van Jordan's 44,900,000 team option contract, and then add three first rounds with Jay Paris Smith and Whitmore and two gun deals with letters
30-year-old Giannis Antetokounmpo was selected by Milwaukee in 2013. He spent his entire 12 seasons of his career with the team, winning many awards along the way, including the Finals MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Progressive Player of the Year and 9 All-Star appearances.
When his long-term future is questioned, he has signed twice the longest contract extension to stay in Milwaukee — the super biggest contract in 2020 and 2023 — and the contract lasts until the 2026-27 season, with $62.8 million in player options in 2027-28.
But this summer, his career in Milwaukee could be a crossroads, after nine straight playoffs and two major point guard deals, Milwaukee found its resources exhausted. Internally, the Bucks think they have more features than they have been in years, as they have exceptions in free agents and draft pick trades.
After advancing to Bucks general manager in the summer of 2017, Jon Horst made a series of acquisitions that made the team the first NBA champion in 50 years. He hired Mike Budenholzer as coach, signed Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis as free agents and traded PJ Tucker in three years.
Horst also showed incredible ability to make a big deal at the Bucks’ most critical moment—when the team’s talent level of competition for the championship fell, and when Antetokounmpo’s contract decision was pending: Milwaukee traded Jrue Holiday in the 2020 offseason, resulting in Antetokounmpo’s first contract renewal and ultimately won the championship. Then in 2023, Horst acquired superstar Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers and received another contract extension from Antetokounmpo.
The Bucks' ability to improve their roster during the offseason is limited!
This offseason poses an incredible challenge to the Bucks’ ability to improve their roster, as the lack of high-value tradeable contracts, and the limited draft picks they have due to the acquisition of these players’ trading and acquisitions, and it is also difficult to deal with top-heavy salaries. With Rad's season reimbursement, they really have no competitiveness next season.
Milwaukee has seven contract players for next season - Antetokounmpo, Kyle Kuzma, AJ Green, Andre Jackson Jr., Chris Livingston, Taylor Smith and Lillard, who tore his left Achilles tendon in Game 4 against Indiana, leaving the 2025-26 season at stake. Lillard will turn 35 in July and will owe $113 million in the next two seasons. Lopez, Portis (player option), Torrian Prince, Kevin Porter Jr. (player option) and Gary Trent Jr. may all be free agents this summer.
Trading Kuzma by deadline gives Milwaukee a restrictive second luxury tax under the labor-management negotiation agreement, which may prove important when the team evaluates its choice this summer. The
Bucks are $23 million less than the luxury tax and $41 million less than the second apron, without Lopez. If Milwaukee re-signs the 37-year-old big man, uses his $14.1 million non-tax intermediate exception and then fills the roster, the Bucks will be a luxury tax team for the sixth straight season. Milwaukee has spent $220 million in tax penalties since the 2019-20 season, but ownership needs to be considered whether it makes sense to continue paying luxury taxes with limited rosters next season.
