The Nuggets looked exhausted when facing the same exhausted Thunder. Charles Barkley pointed out the "unfairness" between the two sides.

The Denver Nuggets played a downturned fourth game at the Ball Arena. Denver and Oklahoma City Thunder set record lows in the first quarter. But Charles Barkley pointed to the “unfairness” factor in Sunday’s poor performance.

The NBA host of TNT TV is known for being outspoken. Barkley unabashedly criticized this flaw in the NBA, which put Denver at a disadvantage.

"I think the NBA is doing it very unfairly. Let them play late on Friday night and then play early in the afternoon," Barkley said.

The basketball legend explains why this strategy is more beneficial to the Thunder.

"The Thunder (more lineup depth) ... I think it's not fair to blame Nikola Jokic for everything, but he's not doing well lately and I think he's exhausted," Barkley said.

Barkley is not the only one who has slammed the league for schedule issues.

National media criticized the NBA Thunder and Nuggets for making mistakes in schedules

National media have joined the ranks of "Sir Charles" and launched a fierce attack on the NBA. One of them also criticized the referee's penalty.

Senior Denver sports columnist and ESPN Around The Horn columnist Woody Page lashed out at the league.

"The Nuggets and the Thunder are exhausted. Congratulations to the NBA, the schedule is terrible and the referees are terrible," Page posted on Channel X. Andrew Schleicht of

The Athletic is also very outspoken. But the Thunder reporter's criticism is mainly aimed at the teams on the court.

"The Thunder and the Nuggets are really testing everyone's love for basketball," Schlecht posted on his Channel X.

However, The Athletic's Nuggets reporter Tony Jones joined in - joining Page and Barkley.

"I have to say that the NBA system is simply ridiculous. The series will be played the next day, and the third game will be played on Friday night and the fourth game will be played on Sunday morning. It is extremely ridiculous and even a bit dangerous," Jones posted on Channel X.

Nuggets head coach David Adelman said the game was disgusting and criticized the team's sluggish scoring performance. However, Adelman noticed the fatigue of both players, but also pointed out the lack of depth on the Thunder's bench.

Jokic scored a game-high 27 points. However, other Nuggets players did not score more than 20 points. Jamal Murray and Christian Braun ended up with 17 points, Aaron Gordon scored 15 points, and Russell Westbrook was beaten with only 6 points left.
