Everyone still remembers Joe Alexander, the Chinese boy who can kiss the basket.
Joe Alexander, Joe Alexander, was born in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan Province, China in December 1986. He is an American. His father is an American (President of Nestlé Asia Division) and his mother is Chinese. From 1996 to 2002, Joe Alexander studied at an international school in Shunyi District, Beijing. Because of his Chinese descent, he was called a "Chinese boy". He is 6 feet 8 inches (203 cm) tall and plays as the No. 3 (SF small forward). He was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft, and has since entered the NBA.
played in the NBA for only two seasons. Joe Alexander played for two teams, the Bucks (2008-2009) and the Bulls (2009-2010). He played in the NBA in a total of 67 games and did not get a starting and playoff chance. He averaged 11.1 minutes per game, contributed 4.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.2 steals and 0.4 blocks. As the No. 8 pick in 2008, Joe Alexander scored in double-digit points in only 6 games in his NBA career.
Joe Alexander has top physical fitness with a wingspan of 2.12 meters, 98 cm in running and jumping, 82.5 cm in vertical jumping, and 5.80% body fat content. He has top explosive power and superstar bounce ability, and can easily complete difficult dunks. Pictures of him jumping and kissing the basket in the training hall were once widely circulated. He has flexible inside steps, skilled in back-reclining jump shots under the basket, good mid-range shooting, and good rebounding control ability.
Although his physical talent exploded, Joe Alexander's outside three-point shooting needs to be strengthened. His ball-holding offense skills are not delicate enough and prone to mistakes. The most important thing is that his game mentality is immature, his skills are limited, his playing style is not fickle, and he relies more on physical talent, and his inability to adapt to the intensity of the NBA-level game, which makes his living space in the NBA limited.
Joe Alexander's talent was not fulfilled in the NBA, but he has also performed in several games that are quite reasonable. On November 18, 2008, local time in the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Denver Nuggets at 105:114, Joe Alexander played for 32 minutes on the bench, scoring 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks in the NBA's highest single game. This is also his first double-point score in the NBA. On March 30, 2009, in the Milwaukee Bucks' 107:78 victory over the New Jersey Nets (now known as the Brooklyn Nets), Joe Alexander played for 28 minutes on the bench, making 6 of 11 shots (including 2 of 3 three-pointers) and 2 of 5 free throws, scoring his NBA career-high 16 points, plus 2 rebounds and 4 assists. In the offseason in 2010, Joe Alexander signed with the New Orleans Hornets (now known as the New Orleans Pelicans), but he didn't play a game and was cut in November. He then went to the NBA Development League Texas Legends (2010-2011), then went to the Russian League (2011-2012), and then signed with the CBA Liaoning (2012-2013). In September 2013, the Chinese boy signed with the Golden State Warriors with a training camp contract, but was cut again before the start of the season. Since then, he has played in leagues such as the NBA Development League (2013-2015), Israel (2015, 2016-2020, 2020-Today), Italy (2015-2016) and South Korea (2020). At present, there is no possibility of returning to the NBA.
