Seattle Storm announced the 11-man roster in the new season, and Li Yueru was among them without any suspense. This season's Seattle Storm has once again created a championship-winning formation. The WNBA officially ranked the Storm in fourth place, with the top three being the New York Liberty, Minnesota Tmall and Las Vegas Ace.
Seattle Storm has won the championship four times in history. Lauren Jackson + Sue Bird era, the Storm won twice in 2004 and 2010. During the Stewart era, the Storm won twice in 2018 and 2020.
After Stewart left the Storm and defected to the New York Liberty, the Storm quickly completed the adjustment and now he has become a championship team again. Storm All-Star point guard Diggins said very excitedly that the Storm this season is the strongest team she has ever been.
The Storm team this season has 4 stars at the All-Star level. Dickins was selected into the All-Star Game 6 times and was selected into the first team of the regular season 4 times. He averaged 15.1 points and 6.4 assists per game last season, and still maintained an excellent form.
Power forward Enneka Ohumik renewed her contract with the Storm for one year, and she averaged 16.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last season. Ohumick won the MVP when he played for Los Angeles Sparks and led the team to win the championship. She is an absolute champion-level All-Star inside player.
Last season's starting center Magoberger was selected for the All-Star Game in 2023 and was selected for the All-Defensive First Team last season, averaging 11.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
French small forward Gabi Williams averaged 10.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists last season. Although she has never entered the WNBA All-Star Game, she became a big hit in Europe, won the 2022 Champions League championship, and was crowned the MVP of the Champions League semi-finals. Gaby Williams is also selected for the first team of the Champions League this year and is crowned the best defensive player.
Storm Team used the second pick to select Malonga, who is known as the female version of Wenban Yama this year. In the 2024-25 season, Malonga performed very well in Ligue 1, averaging 15.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. At 1.98 meters tall, she made a dunk in the league and became the first female player to dunk in Ligue 1.
Storms also welcomed champion defender Clark. Clark once helped Storm win the championship in 2018 and 2020, and later went to Las Vegas Ace to win another title. Now that she returns to Seattle Storm, she is expected to play an important role on the bench.
Lacey Brown, Samuelson, Weiler, Zia Cook and other role players can also contribute to the team. I have to say that the Seattle Storm is strong this season. The New York Liberty, Minnesota Tmall, and Las Vegas Ace are very strong, but the Storm has the capital to compete with them. This season's WNBA is expected to compete for the semi-finals.
