Curry: There are many things to be proud of throughout the season, if we can stay healthy, we can win everything

May 16th News Earlier, the Warriors held a season summary press conference, during which the Warriors star Stephen Curry and the team's head coach Steve Cole both regretted that the playoff trip this season ended in this way.

First, Curry said: "There is a great 'if' for the results this year,'".

Then, he began to recall how he missed the last four games against the Timberwolves due to a hamstring strain on his left leg. The Warriors lost all of those four games, and the Timberwolves finally advanced to the Western Conference Finals with a 4-1 score.

Curry sighed: "It's really hard! It feels strange to sit on the bench. You wish you could do something on the court, but this season is like that... We just want to have a chance. And the final season ending, lucky to make it to the playoffs and win the first round series, considering our situation, there are actually a lot to be proud of."

"But I am really disappointed, frankly, sad - because I didn't play."

Without their offensive core, the Warriors obviously lacked firepower when facing the Timberwolves. In four of the five games in the series, Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle scored 20+ points, with only one game in the team scoring less than 100 points - that was the only game the Warriors won.

What is even more unacceptable is that Curry is absent in the life-and-death battle against G5, and he is actually very close to his comeback. If the Warriors can drag the series into Game 6, Curry will have an extra three days of recovery time, and that game will be held at home.

"Everything was actually aimed at Game 6," Curry said. "I still have some tests to do. Who knows what will happen? Because I haven't trained for full speed since G1. This is the first time I've encountered this kind of injury. I'm actually quite optimistic, but I need to pass a few more checks."

The Warriors started 12 wins and 3 losses this season, but then lost 12 games in the next 15 games. Before the trade deadline, they were once on the verge of 10th place in the West and even faced the risk of missing the playoffs. But when he was finally eliminated, Butler was health limited and Curry was unable to play, but head coach Steve Cole did not hide the potential of this group of squads.

"If Curry is healthy," Cole said, "I know we have a chance. I know we have the strength to go all the way." In the last 30 games of the regular season, the three led the Warriors to a 23-7 record. Curry expressed a similar view.

"The next few weeks, every night when you lie in bed and close your eyes, you will repeat this story until the championship is out," he said. "We really believe that we can do it. If we stay healthy, we can win everything. But life has to go on." Looking forward to the summer and next season, Curry and Green said that Butler's midway joining gave the team a clearer direction than last summer - at that time, the Warriors were frequently involved in rumors looking for "another person" who could partner with Curry.

Curry has no Olympic mission this summer and will focus on rest and recovery. The goal of general manager Dunleavy and management is to continue to optimize the depth of the lineup around the Big Three.

"In September, 29 teams in the league ended the season with more or less regrets, but each team was full of expectations and hope to make the new season. And we hope to return with the most confident attitude," Curry said. "This experience is of great significance to us."

"I was injured in the first game, and there is no doubt that it has changed a lot. But we still have many things to be proud of and have enough foundation to continue working for next season."
