On October 11, in the NBA preseason game, the Boston Celtics lost to the Toronto Raptors 105-107. This game was the first time Chris Boucher returned to Toronto to play a game after signing with Greencap. Boucher did not give his old club any face in this game. He scored 17 points in the half and 19+9 in 23 minutes of the game, which was very efficient.

Boucher was a major contributor to the Raptors' championship in 2019. The Raptors' home court also put some thought into welcoming Boucher back to Toronto. After all, Boucher has played with the Raptors for seven seasons.

The Raptors broadcaster also stated that Boucher contributed 3,256 points for the Raptors on the bench (counting the playoffs). He is the greatest player on the Raptors bench. He came on the bench in 383 of the 407 games in the Raptors career.

Boucher, who returned to be the head coach of the Raptors, also hugged and greeted many of the Raptors' assistant coaches and former teammates. Boucher was also very grateful to the Raptors for their training.

But Boucher showed no mercy after his debut. He scored 7 points on 3 of 5 three-pointers in the first quarter, and 10 points on 2 of 2 three-pointers in the second quarter. In the first half, Boucher had scored as many as 17 points.

In the third quarter, Boucher was replaced after scoring 2 points in 5 minutes. He only played 23 minutes in the game. He made 7 of 10 shots, 2 of 5 three-pointers, and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. His shooting percentage was 70%, his three-point shooting percentage was 40%, and his true shooting percentage was 80.8%. Boucher's performance was outstanding. (11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block in 19 minutes of his debut)

Last season with the Raptors, Boucher averaged 17.2 minutes per game, scoring 10 points, 4.5 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.5 assists. Stealing 0.5 blocks, shooting 49.2% from the field, and 36.6% from the three-point range. The 32-year-old veteran is actually in very good competitive shape, with a height of 2.06 meters, a wingspan of 2.24 meters, and a good three-point shot.

Before the game, Mazzula praised Boucher: He has always been outstanding, he pursues victory and cares about others, and his work attitude is also very serious. There are few people who can completely relax during training/games, and Boucher is one of them. It's really impressive that he has so much energy on and off the court at 32 years old.
