The Lakers dream of pursuing Wiggins is broken?

There are about 40 days left before the start of the NBA regular season in the new season. In recent times, there have been more and more discussions about the Lakers' pursuit of Wiggins, but Heat reporter Wes Goldberg has denied the rumors, saying that the Heat have no intention of sending Wiggins away. The Lakers have been actively recruiting troops this summer, with Wiggins being one of their targets. Wiggins is the very suitable candidate. The Lakers were not interested earlier this summer and have now become more attractive to them. If the price is right, the Lakers will take action.

However, earlier today, Heat reporter Wes Goldberg updated the social media, responding to Wiggins' trade rumors related to the Lakers, and denied it. Wes Goldberg said: "The Heat won't trade Wiwiggins for Dalton Kneckett and some players who are paying for their salary. The team is not actively selling Wiggins, and the team is looking forward to seeing how he can perform in the new season. Moreover, since Heywood Highsmith was traded, they have not had an obvious (wing) replacement."

Goldberg added: "In addition, I don't think the Lakers will give up the precious first-round pick in 2031 or 2032 for Wiggins. Therefore, unless the above situations can be changed, even if the Lakers are interested in Wiggins, it will have no practical significance."

In the 2024-25 season, Wiggins played for the Warriors and the Heat, playing in 60 games, averaging 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, shooting 44.8% and 37.4% of three-pointers.
