At the press conference on the eve of Manchester United's friendly match with ASEAN All-Stars, Red Devils coach Ruben Amorin shared the team's plans for the new season and emphasized the importance of this game.

At the afternoon of May 27th, Amorin first said: "I don't want to talk about long-term goals now. The most important thing at the moment is to focus on every step. Our short-term goal is to win the first game and then think about what's next."

The Portuguese coach believes that although Manchester United misses the Champions League next season, this may not be a bad thing. "We can use this time to prepare better, lay a solid foundation, and pave the way for the future."

He particularly emphasized the importance of testing the lineup and promoting young players: "At present, almost all the team is healthy, only Mazravie has just been injured. In addition, we have recruited many young players to let them feel what it means to wear Manchester United jerseys. This game is a good opportunity to evaluate them."

Among them, Amorin praised young player Aiden Haven: "He is the kind of example of being able to seize the opportunity and prove that he is worthy of staying in the first team."

Although it was just a pre-season warm-up match, Amorin said that Manchester United will never treat it perfunctorily. "Millions of fans pay attention to every game. We must show respect and give our all, no matter who the opponent is."

He also expressed his gratitude to the enthusiastic Southeast Asian fans: "It is touching to see that fans still love Manchester United so much even in difficult times. This connection is exactly why Manchester United has become one of the greatest clubs in the world. It is an honor for us to be here."

At the same time, midfielder Mason Mount also said: "Captain Bruno Fernan Des admitted that as long as you wear this jersey, you mean that the club must do your best. We want to win in every game."

Although it is only part of the pre-season tour, Mount emphasized that the team will not underestimate the opponent: "We know this will be a high-intensity game because the opponent is a team of top regional players. The whole team is looking forward to it and hopes to perform best."

Although Manchester United is not as dominating the Premier League as before, it still has a huge fan base in Southeast Asia. The friendly match between ASEAN All-Stars vs. Manchester United on May 28 is not only for charity fundraising, but also to honor the region's best football talent. After the

match, Manchester United will fly to Hong Kong for the next match on May 30.
