September 4th, Real Madrid goalkeeper Fran Gonzalez accepted an exclusive interview with Marca Radio, during which he shared his experience of representing the first team's debut and topics such as Courtois.

2025 will be an unforgettable year for Fran Gonzalez, who is only 20 years old. He not only made his debut for Real Madrid's first team at the Bernabeu Stadium, but also was selected for the Spanish U21 national team.

Regarding participating in the training camp for the U21 national team, Fran Gonzalez said: "It is an honor to be here, and we are all very happy to have the opportunity to continue to grow." He also said that 2025 has exceeded his expectations. "If someone had interviewed me on January 1, I would never have thought so many things would have happened this year."

When asked about his debut against Valencia at the Bernabeu, he recalled Ancelotti told him the start the day before. "I didn't believe it until I saw the roster. It was my happiest day." Although that game ended in a defeat, his experience of competing with stars such as Modric, Valverde, Mbappe and Vinicius was unforgettable.

Gonzalez admitted that he has always been a Real Madrid fan: "I have always been a loyal Madridist, and people who know me know and are happy for me."

Speaking of his idol, he mentioned Courtois without hesitation: "He is the best goalkeeper in the world and is also awesome. What he passed on to us in training is my goal to study hard. He always told me to enjoy the game and not think too much because I have the ability to do it."

Training with Courtois and Lunin is an important way for Gonzalez to learn. "This is my third year of training with them, and the relationship is very good. I try to learn from every detail."

At the U21 national team, Gonzalez hopes to gain David Godo's trust and get more opportunities to play. "I will do my best to win playing time."

Fran Gonzalez also plays the role of Real Madrid's third goalkeeper, Castia's main player and a member of the U21 national team, and the future is full of infinite possibilities for him.
