Exclusive to São Deutsche: The two elders of Hru freeze the transfer of Bayern, only renting but not buying this summer

2:58pm, 20 August 2025Football

Hupu, August 19, famous reporters from South Deutsche News Agency Christof Kneer and Philipp Schneider wrote exclusive columns.

When Kane made a public statement that Bayern management (at least sports management) did not give up, on Tuesday, Uli Henes told N. Deutsche:

"I strongly advocate using loan players to fill the lineup. The loan contract will last until June 30, 2026, and it will be good for one year."

N. Deutsche exclusively revealed that the decision to rent only but not buy has confused the sports department. Didn't they have enough funds to sign Wiltz or at least Waltermad?

First was a fixed deposit, but now it suddenly became a remaining account? After Kingsley Koeman was sold to Saudi Arabia, sports director Max Ebertell firmly believed that Koeman could reinvest the money in a new offensive player because in his opinion, Ebertell had met his requirements (save money! Shrink the roster!).

Didn’t the senior management just say that you can afford Walter Mad without selling Koeman? After Koeman was sold, Eber was surprised to find that he can only find a loan player now!

This is indeed a bit unfortunate. Eber was preparing to sign a player before selling Koeman. Now, which top European club will suddenly loan a top player to Bayern?

In this transfer window, Waltermad's chance of joining was as high as 98%, but Bayern was unable to sign him, which put Munich in a conflict of interest.

Under Max Ebert, the team needs short-term sports success to maintain their bargaining chips at the level of their internal political struggle; especially when Ebert is currently being criticized by internally as being too premature and too literally "cancel the Waltermad deal." The controversial Eber knows well that the more comprehensive the lineup, the higher the probability of success.

On the other hand, there is a strategic team, which is composed of Uli Henes and Karl Heinz Rummenigge. The strategic team will take the initiative to ask one or two reasonable questions, such as:

After Florian Werz and Stuttgart rejected Waltermad's deal, should we really spend 50 million or 60 million euros to fill a vacancy for a player we might not have signed? A player we, including the sports team, may not be sure of?

So, this time Heness and Mattus have a consistent view: it is better not to sign any players, but to give the talented Paul Wanna and Leonard Carl a chance.

This dilemma explains the current rumors that Bayern Munich wants Chelsea player Christopher Nkunku but actually doesn't want him.

The Bayern management team is considering the competitive level and they really want to get this player. And the strategic team is thinking about money and the future, so they are willing to rent it instead of signing (although we heard that Chelsea doesn’t want to loan this player, they just want to sell it). The old creed of Teigensay is: If you really want a player, you should sign him when it's still snowing on Mount Valbery, rather than the transfer window on the eve of the transfer deadline. Otherwise, Bayern's bosses would rather become Lehman Brothers.
