60 million euros! The repurchase contract of Kuanza takes effect after 2 years. Joining Leverkusen is a win-win choice

On June 25, German media kicker Leverkusen and team reporter Stephan von Nocks revealed that the buyback clause of Liverpool youth training center defender Kwaanza was finally confirmed. The 40 million euros mentioned by Germany Sky Sports was wrongly persuasion. His repurchase option is worth up to 60 million euros and will only take effect in 2027.

Kaanza, born in January 2003, is 22 years old and from Liverpool youth training. Since July 2023, he has played in 58 games for the Reds' first team, contributing 3 goals and 3 assists, and is a rising star on the Liverpool's defense. However, with Van Dijk still strong and Connaet performing stably, it is difficult for Quaanza, who also serves as central defender, to compete with the two big brothers. In this case, leaving Anfield to join a team that can play as the main player is very important for the young Quasa. This is how fate with Bundesliga giants Leverkusen was formed.

This summer, Liverpool signed full-back Flynnon and midfielder core Wilz from Leverkusen, with a total cost of up to 180 million euros. And leaving Liverpool to join Leverkusen, it looks more like a kind of reciprocity. Of course, this deal is the best choice for Liverpool and Leverkusen or the player himself.

Leverkusen lost their defensive core, Jonatan-Ta, this summer. The defense line urgently needs fresh blood. The strong Quanza is a very good choice. The 30 million yuan transfer fee plus bonus has been signed for 5 years. In this era of gold and dollar football, it is already good and cheap. For Kwaanza, being able to play the main role in this Bundesliga giants is also very beneficial to his growth.

Of course, Liverpool did not suffer any losses. They received €30 million in cash and a certain amount of bonus. Due to Kwaanza's youth training status, the money will be regarded as pure profit. More importantly, Liverpool's operation not only allows Quasa to get the best growth platform, but also sets a timeline for retrieval of him in the future.

If Quaanza grows rapidly and performs well in pharmaceutical factories, a €60 million buyback will not be very expensive. Moreover, this repurchase clause will not take effect until the summer of 2027. By then, Liverpool captain Van Dijk's contract has expired, and Qu Ansa can naturally take over when she returns to Anfield and become the Reds' new generation of core defenders. It can be seen that Liverpool still has high hopes for his growth.
