60 million euros become a hurdle, Portuguese negotiations are deadlocked

6:09am, 15 June 2025Football

Tuqiu.com June 14th, negotiations between Portuguese and Swedish striker Yorkez's agent team are becoming increasingly fierce, and both parties have different opinions on the terms of the contract signed in the summer of 2023.

At the request of the agent, Portugal signed a five-year (to 2028) long contract with Yorke, with the termination fee of up to 100 million euros, setting a record for the Alvarad Stadium. The contract also has special terms: if the broker receives a fixed offer of 60 million euros and the Portuguese refuses, he or she can receive a 10% quotation, that is, 6 million euros. Coincidentally, this 60 million euro is the lowest psychological price behind the Yorkress transfer this summer.

At present, negotiations are in a deadlock. When Arsenal first contacted, it gave a fixed €55 million plus a floating €10 million, but it failed to meet expectations. In view of this, Portuguese has also clarified its bottom line. Once Portuguese believes that the player representatives have no intention of negotiating according to their own conditions, they will directly increase the price of Yorke to the termination level, that is, 100 million euros. However, Portuguese also provides flexible solutions, such as willing to explore the quotation combination of 70 million euros fixed plus 10 million euros floating, with a total price of 80 million euros.

Yorcres has performed well since joining Portuguese, which naturally attracted the attention of many wealthy families. However, the transfer negotiations are full of uncertainty due to the complex terms of the contract and the price differences between the two parties. Let's wait and see whether the broker successfully promotes 60 million euros in trading or whether Portuguese sticks to the bottom line.
