Just just now, according to the official news from Barcelona. The team has officially reached an agreement with the new armband sponsor, which for the Red and Blues, this is also one of the important progress made in business this summer. After all, their finances are very tight at this stage, and any way and method that can generate income will temporarily relieve Barcelona. Previously, the potential income they had obtained for selling VIP seats was not officially recognized by La Liga, resulting in their failure to return to the fiscal 1:1 in time. Fortunately, after they signed a contract with the new armband sponsor, the finances have been slightly eased. Barcelona's new armband sponsor is Midea, a well-known domestic electrical appliance brand. Both sides have signed a five-year contract with an annual sponsorship amount of up to 12 million euros. In other words, as long as Barcelona performs these five-year contracts normally, they can earn 60 million euros. This is a pretty good number for armband advertising spaces.

In the official announcement released by Barcelona, they wrote: As a well-known brand with global influence, Midea will work with the Red and Blue Army to further increase its popularity, and the two sides will carry out cooperation from multiple dimensions. Trust between both sides is the key to the rapid conclusion of this transaction. It has to be said that Midea's choice to sponsor Barcelona at this stage is indeed a very good choice. Although it is just an armband sponsored advertising space, Barcelona is a top-tier football family after all. With its platform influence and exposure, only Real Madrid can compare it with the entire football world. It is really great to get the armband sponsorship position with a sponsorship fee of €12 million per year.

It is worth mentioning that the advertising fee between Barcelona and its former armband advertising sponsor Ambilight is similar to that of Midea. The former even signed incremental clauses in the contract. By the later stage of the contract execution, Barcelona could theoretically get more than 14 million euros per year from Ambilight. However, the two sides have had differences and disputes recently, and eventually they ended up having an unhappy relationship. The main reason is that Barcelona has been unable to move back to the new Camp Nou Stadium. After renovation and expansion, the stadium was originally planned to be put into use in the second half of 2024, which is around November. Based on this, a large number of sponsors did not reduce the sponsorship amount during the Barcelona trough. They mainly want to further enhance their commercial value by taking advantage of the huge exposure after the return of the new Camp Nou. But I didn't expect that Barcelona has been dragging it down again and again. To this day, the new Camp Nou still has no intention of putting it into use.

This completely broke up between Barcelona and the armband sponsor, and the two parties terminated the contract. Barcelona's current business capabilities are indeed very good. Under the instigation of the team's vice chairman Rafa Ust, the Red and Blues immediately contacted the new sponsor. The overall amount of cooperation with Midea is roughly the same as the previous armband sponsor. This has also successfully enabled Barcelona to achieve a transition in armband sponsorship, and this amount is not low in today's football world. However, there is a big gap compared to Real Madrid next door. Why do you say so? Because Real Madrid's armband sponsor HP pays almost 40 million euros to the Galaxy Battleship every year, which is very exaggerated.

However, Barcelona does not need to compare with them, because HP's president is rumored to be a hardcore Real Madrid fan. The sponsorship contract he signed is significantly higher than the market price in addition to normal business cooperation. For Barcelona, in addition to maintaining the normal revenue of the commercial market as much as possible. The club's current attention is still on the field, and the team's goal this season is still to compete for the championship in La Liga and the Champions League. What do you think about the new sponsorship contract that Barcelona just signed?
