October 3 News Recently, Lakers player Reeves told how he learned that Thomas and Christie were traded to the Mavericks during his participation in the "The Old Man and The Three" podcast.
Speaking of losing Davis, Reeves said: "I was really hit when I heard the news because I had a good relationship with Max and I had a very good relationship with AD. I was with AD for four years and Christie for three years... but the deal got us Luca. Like you said, he is an incredible player, a star with generational talent. No one would have thought he would be traded at this age, and he would not even think of it in the future. But everything is a fateful arrangement, and now I really look forward to fighting side by side with him."
