Los Angeles Clippers sign a two-year contract with guard Bradley Bill

The Los Angeles Clippers reportedly signed a two-year, $11 million contract with guard Bradley Beal

It is speculated that the Clippers will achieve this at least at the start of the season, staggering Bill's playing time with Harden's playing time after they started together. It's hard to see Bill agree to return to the bench after he played the role unpleasantly in the second half of last season.

Specifically, the most important benefit of the Bills to the Clippers seems to be leading the second backcourt with Bogdan Bogdanovic, with Harden sitting on the bench. There is currently no traditional point guard behind Harden – although Chris Paul remains an unrestricted free agent – the Clippers seem to be moving in the direction of having Bill and Bogdanovic on the committee for that role.

Although Bill's idea as a starting point guard lost his glory in Phoenix, he and Bogdanovic should provide enough organizational skills when facing the second unit.

I'm still not sure whether extending Bill's salary will be better for the Suns than just spending his remaining two seasons, but considering how unpleasant his time at Phoenix is for both sides, I understand the desire to simply move on.
