James ranks first! With more than 30 days left before the new season, US media "TA" selected the top 40 active wingers at the right time, with Rockets Amen ranked 10th and Durant ranked second.
First level: Historical stars
1-3: James, Durant and Kats
are super-nine NBA history, and have led the team to win championships as absolute cores many times. The only controversy is whether the 40-year-old James is still qualified to rank first in his current state.
Judging from the accumulation of personal honors, James is fully qualified to top the list, but if combined with actual personal influence, Durant is a better choice, especially after joining the Rockets in the new season, Durant is expected to launch an attack on the championship again.
In comparison, Xiao Ka is a more regrettable existence. If he had not been troubled by injuries, he should have achieved greater success, so he ranked third on the list.
Second level: All-Stars
4-7: Butler, Jaylen Brown, George and Jaylen Williams
The second level players are stable All-Stars, and have been selected as All-Stars many times in their careers. Some players are close to the superstar level. Butler is the representative of them, but they failed to go further because they failed to lead the team to win the championship.
Jeren Brown was not the leader during the championship period, and she had a short time to maintain the competitiveness in the championship. Fortunately, she was still very young and had hope to continue to accumulate and transform in the future. Jaylen Williams' situation was similar.
George was also an MVP-level star at his peak. Unfortunately, like his former teammate Xiao Ka, the injury problem was too serious, which seriously affected his upper limit and honor accumulation.
Third level: Quasi All-Stars
8-10: Scottie Barnes, DeRozan and Amen
The young Barnes is already the core of the Raptors' team building, and has reached the top level on the defensive end, but it still needs to make great progress on the offensive end to enter the All-Star level.
DeRozan is a relatively unfortunate existence. He is a stable 20+ scorer, but because the scoring methods are mainly traditional middle distance, and his lack of talent limits, he has never been regarded as a real superstar.
The Rockets' new nuclear Amen is just the opposite. His career has just begun. He has historically level dynamic and static physical talent, but it still needs long-term polishing in projection. If stable medium and long distance abilities can be developed, Amen's upper limit is unlimited.
Fourth level: Possibly becoming All-Stars
11-15: Anunobi, Wagner Jr., Bridges, Ingram, McDaniels
Most of the players in this level play a core role in their teams, and even the absolute core of team building. They have outstanding standing skills on both offense and defense, but there is still a big gap from the All-Stars.
Take Anunobi as an example. He is trustworthy on the defensive end and can switch to multiple positions, but his offensive end is insufficient. If he wants to grow into an All-Star, he needs to usher in a comprehensive improvement.
Fifth level: It is expected to usher in transformation
16-20: Brandon Miller, Murphy III, Cameron Johnson, Osar Thompson and Porter Jr.
Most of the players in this level are young players, and they will fully realize their talents after further adapting to the NBA in the new season. Osar Thompson is one of them. As Amen's younger brother, Osar has also shown the talent of a top defender.
The other two players worth paying attention to are Cameron Johnson and Porter Jr. They complete the swap in the offseason and will play a new role in the new club in the new season.
The sixth place: important role players
21-25: Murray, Kamara, Wiggins, Mishen and Hunter;
26-30: Jones, Kelden Johnson, Alexander Walker, Avdia and Kulibaly.
7th place
31-35: Nesmith, Rissache, Esbailey, Martin and Kevin Martin Jr.;
36-40: Reus O'Neal, Wells, Jones Jr., Hax and Kneipel.
