According to Keith Pompey, the Wizards, the Nets and the Pelicans are interested in trading upwards in the 2025 NBA Draft to pick Rutgers star Ace Bailey.
Pompey revealed that a league executive believes that Bailey's agent wants him to stay on the East Coast NBA team and eventually play somewhere "between Atlanta and New York."
The Wizards, Pelicans and Nets have the 6th, 7th and 8th picks in the 2025 draft respectively.
Reporter Jake Fischer also confirmed that NBA team management "increasingly asked" whether Pele could be selected by the Nets at the 8th pick.
According to previous reports, Bailey canceled his meeting with the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, and the 76ers have the third pick in this draft.
Pompey said Bailey's agent hopes that the Sixers will make a commitment to him before the trial.
