Again, the Knicks will evaluate the lineup, and the players will face key choices when they stay or stay

On June 2, the NBA New York Knicks' season journey officially ended with the loss of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Next, the team management has important work to do.

According to team reporter Ian Begley, the Knicks are about to sit down with the players and hold a season summary meeting to review the just-passed 2023-24 season. At the same time, they also set their sights on the future 2024-25 season.

Like all NBA teams, after losing in the G6 in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Knicks need to take some time to take a good look at the performance of the players and coaches. Begley learned from people who know the Knicks' internal situation that such face-to-face assessment will not start on Sunday (June 2), but will be scheduled to be officially carried out next week.

The number one question before the Knicks is: What should I do next?

They are now standing at a crossroads:

Option one: Stay calm, make a small repair? It's basically not moving the current core lineup. I believe that these players and coaching staff will work hard to make another effort next season to see if they can go further.

Option 2: Dramatic and seek change? Going another way, like trying to trade to introduce a superstar, or...even considering changing the head coach?

These questions are imminent, and the answers are likely to become clearer in the next few days or weeks. Reporter Begley also talked about the evaluation process: "I think all NBA teams will go through a similar process after playing the season. But for the Knicks, their standards for evaluating everything will be very clear and direct - 'Can we do this help us eventually win the NBA championship?'"

Simply put: the Knicks season is over, and we need to have a meeting to summarize. Management will start carefully evaluating players and coaches next week. The biggest question now is whether they believe that the current lineup will be more than one year, or do they need to make big changes (such as changing stars or changing coaches)? All decisions will revolve around a core goal: how to win the championship.
