A list of the five major stars in the NBA who may not have a championship in their lifetime, Harry is on the list, Paul leads

As we all know, players who can score in the NBA have extremely strong competitive spirit, otherwise they would not be able to work harder than ordinary people. After entering the NBA, most players still stick to their original intentions. As long as they can play, they hope that they can help the team win. However, in the NBA, only a few players can taste the highest level of victory, that is, win the championship, but because it is too difficult to achieve this goal, many players have not been able to get a championship ring until they retire.

Even MVP superstars such as Barkley, Karl Malone, etc., have not won the championship in their careers, which is unavoidable. However, this is obviously inevitable. There are many stars who have never won the championship in every era. For example, the five current stars we will be comparing next, it is likely that they will find it difficult to change their lifelong championship in the end.

5. George

Average of 20.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals in his career, George, who just made his debut in the NBA. At first, he was just a younger brother around the star. However, he continued to polish his offensive skills, so he was able to have more ball rights, so we can see that he gradually became an All-Star player. With George's help, the Pacers have caused trouble to the Heat in recent years, but unfortunately, their star quality is still much worse than the opponent. After leaving the Pacers in 2017, George joined the Thunder and the Clippers, but his experience in both teams has caused his reputation to decline visible to the naked eye. First of all, this is related to George's own performance, and then the team's overall performance. Especially during the Clippers' period, George has performed well. For example, he helped the team reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time in the 2021 playoffs, but due to injury issues, the Clippers have never won the championship. George now joins the 76ers with a maximum salary. Just after playing in just one season, he has the potential to become a garbage contract. As of now, his hope for the championship is basically gone.

4. Butler averaged 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.6 steals in his career. Butler was not prominent in the league at all. He averaged only 2.6 points per game in his rookie season. But as time went by, Butler played better and better, so he quickly became the core of the Bulls and he was also selected as the All-Star. Later, Butler transferred to other teams, and he performed very well no matter where he went.

Butler joined the Heat in 2019. At first, the outside world was not optimistic about the signing. However, under his leadership, the Heat reached two finals. Although they still failed to win the championship in the end, such results obviously exceeded expectations. Butler joined the Warriors this season and signed a contract extension in advance. However, considering that he and Curry and Green are both very old, the team's hope of competing for the championship is not high, especially as the West is getting more and more popular, the probability is even smaller.

3. Westbrook averaged 21.2 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 1.6 steals in his career. In Westbrook's career, he only reached the Finals once. That year, facing the Heat, Westbrook's performance was very unstable. He performed 43 points in a single game in the finals, and also played with only 19 points from 4 of 20 shots. However, even though Westbrook became the MVP, instability was still one of the most obvious labels on him, especially in terms of personal offense. Since he is often prone to getting ahead, Westbrook has never been an efficient scorer.

After Westbrook's physical fitness began to decline in the later period, his shortcomings became more obvious, and eventually he was completely reduced to a basic salary player during the Lakers. Later, Westbrook joined the Clippers and the Nuggets, but during this period he still failed to break through the second round of the playoffs. Now he has become a free agent again. But for a strong team, most of the players like Westbrook who have too obvious double-edged sword attributes are not dared to gamble, so it is obvious that Westbrook will find it difficult to win the championship in the end.

2. Harden, who averaged 24.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.5 steals in his career, Harden, who entered the league in 2009, reached the finals with the team in his third season of his career. That year, as the sixth man at the best, he also performed well in the playoffs, but his performance in the finals was not that ideal, which led to the Thunder still choosing to trade him in the offseason. After joining the Rockets, Harden got more ball rights and playing time, and his personal strength continued to improve, and in the end he was able to become one of the best players in the league. Harden at his peak had an excellent chance to compete for the championship in 2018. They did almost defeat Cosmic Bold that year, but due to Paul's injury, the team was still unfortunately eliminated. However, Harden never got so close to the championship again, especially after leaving the Nets, both the 76ers and the Clippers' performance in the playoffs was very disappointing, and Harden's own performance was not ideal. Considering that he is basically locked up with the Clippers, it is unrealistic to compete for the championship.

1. Paul

Average of 17 points, 4.4 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 2 steals in his career, Paul quickly realized his talent after entering the league. He averaged 16.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game in the rookie season, and he undoubtedly became the team's well-deserved core. Paul soon made progress later. In the 2007-2008 season, he averaged 21.1 points, 4 rebounds, 11.6 assists and 2.7 steals per game. This year he almost won the MVP. Then in 2009, Paul was selected for the Double First Team again, so he was obviously one of the best defenders in the league at that time.

Later, for the championship, Paul received many transfers. Until he joined the Rockets in 2017, he finally touched the floor of the Western Conference Finals. Later, Paul joined the Thunder, Suns, Warriors and Spurs one after another. During this period, as he grew older, his personal competitive state inevitably declined, but he still performed very impressively in 2021 and 2022. Paul, who is 40 years old, has started the countdown to retirement, and it is very likely that he will be the last contract in his career. Considering that his most likely next home is a team like the Clippers and Suns, he is likely to not win the championship.
