May 5th Leverkusen midfielder Zaka said in an interview with Biography that coach Alonso showed no sign of leaving the team.
Zarca said: "To be honest, I think it would be much simpler for any team, any player, if you know who will coach on the sidelines next season, but it is by no means an excuse for us to perform poorly in the past few weeks. As long as Alonso is still on the team, he devotes himself to it. He has no intention of leaving at all, but prepares every game as seriously as I did in the first two years here."
"Especially when the summer transfer window opens, there will be many rumors. We can't control which is true and which is false, but such a coach is obviously what every team dreams of. We have had him for two years and it's not something I can decide whether to have a third year. But no matter what happens, we have had a great time."
