Hupu reported on October 27 that the ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup have entered a new stage. Following the overwhelming success of the first round of pre-sales, the second phase of ticket applications was officially launched on Monday. Fans can sign up for the so-called advance lottery ticket purchase before 23:00 on November 1, when 1 million tickets will be open to the public.
According to the arrangements announced by FIFA, the advance lottery will be launched on November 12, and the host country’s priority period will be entered first: residents of the United States, Canada and Mexico selected in the lottery can have priority to purchase tickets for their home countries’ matches. Starting November 17, international fans will also be eligible to purchase tickets.
In the first pre-sale phase, registration can only be paid with Visa card. According to FIFA, more than 4.5 million fans from 216 countries and regions submitted ticket applications, and more than 1 million tickets have been sold. The largest number of ticket buyers are the United States, Canada and Mexico. German fans are equally enthusiastic, ranking fifth in the number of applications after England. Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Argentina and France round out the top ten.
According to the plan, after the World Cup draw ceremony ends on December 5, FIFA will start a new round of random draws, and fans will have the option to apply for tickets for specific games. Before the start of the competition (June 11 to July 19), the official will again distribute a small number of remaining tickets.
