May 28th Venice sports director Filippo Antonelli announced that he would buy out Inter foreign goalkeeper Philip Stankovic for 1.5 million euros.
Venice has been relegated from Serie A, and Filippo Antonelli talks about the future of some players on the team. He first said: "I need to talk to the club's senior management about the players' stay or leave. According to the contract, if we succeed in relegation in Serie A, we must forcefully buy out Stankovic, and in the case of relegation, we choose to buy out. We will buy out for 1.5 million euros. Inter Milan retains the player's future transfer fee share, and we may complete the buy out before June 18."
Filippo Antonelli continued: "Zerbin's loan also has a relegation-buyout clause, but we do not have the right to choose to buy out after relegation. He Will go back to Naples. Franco Caboni? We have the right to buy out, Inter Milan has the right to buy out, and we still need further discussion on his situation. Nicolusi is already our player."
Finally, Filippo Antonelli said: "Ladu and Inter Milan have a high-paying contract, and we have paid part of the fees. We keep Ladu and Stankovic at the same time? We already have three goalkeepers, Stankovic, Prizari, Neri, and I think we are enough in the goalkeeper position."
