Manchester United and Juventus former talent star Paul Pogba are in deep negotiations with Monaco, hoping to return to football after the suspension.

The 32-year-old French World Cup champion team is preparing to return to the motherland to join the French Ligue 1 team.

Well-known journalist and transfer expert Romano also posted a poster to confirm that Pogba is negotiating with Monaco.

According to the BBC on June 14, negotiations revolve around the signing of a two-year contract with Monaco, which Monaco hopes to close the deal in the next few days. The negotiations have been in progress for weeks, and Pogba has trained before the preseason starts and plans to return to the field.

On September 2, 2023, after Juventus' 2023-2024 Serie A opening match against Udinese, Pogba received a positive random drug test and was temporarily suspended. He was subsequently officially banned for four years, but after appeal, the ban was shortened to 18 months last October.

In November last year, Pogba reached an agreement with Juventus to terminate the contract and restart his career from March this year. The International Court of Arbitration for Sport finally ruled that Pogba did take dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) inadvertently. This substance promotes elevated testosterone levels and has been listed on the World Anti-Doping Agency's list of drug prohibitions.

However, crucial and paradoxically, the ruling stated that the DHEA only had an impact on the performance of female athletes.
