TA: Isaac has not shown that he wants to leave Newcastle, but his agent has always hoped that players will get a raise

July 19th According to TheAthletic, Isaac did not show his desire to leave Newcastle, but his agent has always hoped that players would raise their salary.

Newcar's overall position on Isaac is that he is "not selling". Liverpool's price question has been rejected. Regardless of whether Liverpool still pursues Isaac after finalizing Ekitic, the news from Newcastle's top leaders is that their position will not change.

premise is how Isaac reacts, but so far, he has not expressed his willingness to leave the team, and there have been people in Newcastle that he will not do so.

Nevertheless, considering that Isaac has grown into a world-class player since his first ever joining Newcastle in 2022, Isaac's agent has been looking to raise his salary. Newcastle has said for months that they will start contract renewal negotiations with Isaac's team this summer, but no substantial progress appears to have been made. Part of the problem Newcastle faces is that Isaac is already one of the highest-paid players on the team, and while his salary requirements may be very high in the open market, the club cannot afford to significantly increase his salary. If Newcastle does this, they may need to cut wage bills elsewhere due to PSR (profitability and sustainability rules), or may sell players.

If Isaac still hasn't signed a new contract during the 2025-26 season, Newcastle may have to consider selling him next summer. But that happened a long time later, and a lot of things may have happened from now until then.

But it should be reiterated that Newcastle insists that Isaac is not a product this summer.
