10:42am, 14 May 2025Football

On May 12, The Sun reported that former Liverpool midfielder and England captain Gerrard recently shut down a company selling healthy drinking water, and his investment of £371,000 was almost lost.

The 44-year-old football celebrity injected £371,524 into AngelRevive, a company run by a friend, but the company is now in debt and closed down. Investors including Gerald invested a total of 2.5 million pounds, but ended up losing heavily. Gerald only recovered 50,000 pounds of investment and still faced huge losses. The company liquidation documents show that the company, which holds a 25% stake, has a debt of up to £542,220, including £398,353 of unpaid rent. The document clearly states: "The company's reserves are negative and continue to rely on financial support from directors and shareholders."

Currently, Gerald is participating in the bid for the head coach of the Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers, which is the second time he has been associated with the position. During his coaching period from 2018 to 2021, he led the team to win the Suzhou Super League championship.
