June 26th, Inter Milan defeated River Plate 2-0 in the Club World Cup today. Sommer was interviewed after the game.
Is this the most exciting and difficult game you have in this event?
"Yes, River Plate is a tough and tough opponent, and it plays aggressively. But we show a lot of energy on the field, and we play well as the team."
I feel like you are constantly improving. The young players performed well today.
"It is very important for young players to accumulate experience, they do a good job. The first few days in the United States were difficult, but now we are 100% in the game. We will continue to move forward and strive to win the next game."
How much confidence does this victory bring to you? The opponent is strong and as a South American team, some of you are not used to it.
"The venue, stadium environment, and opponent characteristics here are different from usual, but we invested 100% in it, demonstrating the strong energy and quality of the team. We scored two wonderful goals, and I am very satisfied with this."
Can you say Inter Milan came to win the championship?
"Of course, when participating in any event as a player, we always aim to win the championship. Next, we will face another strange opponent and must give excellent performance again."
