Real Madrid buys new defenders in Premier League: one from Arsenal and one from Liverpool

Real Madrid has not yet ended their event in this summer transfer window. They were shamelessly defeated by Paris Saint-Germain in the CFC semifinals, which led management to believe that the defense needs to be strengthened by introducing new midfielders.
Although Dean Xusen has just officially joined, the unstable performances of Antonio Rudiger and Raul Arnsumbi have already raised doubts within the team. In this case, the management had to quickly find a partner who formed a solid combination with Xu Sen at the centre-back position.
Two people are now on the Spanish club's top picks. Real Madrid believes that bringing in a new player can bring balance and tranquility to their defensive division, something they still haven't seen so far.
A comprehensive assessment of team defensive performance throughout the season shows that additional quality is needed. Especially in order to deal with increasingly fierce competitive challenges in various competitions.
Connate and Saliba became the strongest candidates
According to the latest circulating report, two defenders from France became Madrid's main signing targets. Ibrahima Konath and William Saliba are considered suitable for direct positive impact in style and potential.
Currently, the 26-year-old Connaet only has a contract with Liverpool expired in 2026. If his contract is not extended in the near future, Liverpool may sell it for a more affordable price this summer.
Real Madrid may also consider waiting until next season to get Conde's service for free. This strategy follows the pattern they used successfully before, the strategy they used when recruiting Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Similar approaches show Madrid's patience in pursuing high-quality goals. They don't hesitate to wait for the opportunity to acquire players on more favorable financial conditions.
Transfer depends on player
William Saliba becomes the second choice on the wish list, although the negotiation process is expected to be very complex. The Arsenal defender's contract will not expire until 2027, and it is believed that London clubs will not give significant discounts.
Although Saliba is reportedly willing to assist in the transfer, Arsenal has not shown a willingness to negotiate flexibly. In this case, the opportunity for transfer will be very dependent on recent developments.
However, all of these transfer plans are highly dependent on Madrid's ability to sell some players not in the plan for coach Habi Alonso. This sale process became the key to opening up financial space for introducing new centre-backs.
Players like Rodrigo Gois, Dani Sebalos and Fran Garcia are on the list of players that may be sold. Their sale will pave the way for the defence reinforcement plan that management has already laid out.
's success in selling these players will determine how radical Madrid can be in the transfer market. Without enough financial space, plans to bring in high-quality defenders from the Premier League may be hampered.
