Manchester United is looking for opportunities to intervene in the transfer of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Cesco. The player has been the target of Newcastle United recently.

According to Sky Sports, Newcastle has begun negotiations with Sesco and Leipzig, hoping to reach a deal of about £70 million. However, Manchester United also joined the competition and went directly with the Slovenian striker's agent.

Transfer expert Fabricio Romano pointed out: "Don't easily rule out the possibility of Manchester United. In recent hours, Manchester United has been in touch with Cesco's agents to launch formal discussions on transfer fees, contract terms, player development plans and the club's long-term project role."

Although Manchester United has signed two strikers, Mattus Cunia and Brian Mbiumo for £133.5 million, head coach Ruben Amorin still wants to introduce a high-level center to strengthen the team. At present, the final decision lies in the hands of Cesco and his team.

Meanwhile, Newcastle needs to act quickly as their main striker Alexander Isaac expresses his desire to leave the club. Several sources confirmed that he intends to switch to Liverpool, a deal that could break the UK transfer fee record.

In addition, Isaac received an extremely attractive offer from Saudi Arabia, providing revenue of up to £32 million a year, but the Swedish star's wish is to wear Liverpool's jersey.

As Manchester United plans to intercept Newcastle's primary goal, the 2025 Premier League summer transfer market is destined to become more exciting in the last few days.
