Hupu September 30th Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Mönchengladbach has fallen into a trough and is currently at the bottom of the standings. After sports director Roland Philcus resigned, the team not only lacked coaches, but also lacked management. How to get out of the predicament has become a key issue at the moment.

German legendary star and former Borussia Mönchengladbach player Matteus bluntly stated in an interview with Germany Sky Sports that the club must make a decisive decision quickly and decisively. He commented on Fircus' resignation as a very correct decision, adding: "Fircus knows that he cannot solve the problem at the moment and cannot send the signals the team needs, so resignation is a responsible performance."

Regarding the new coach, Mattus mentioned former coach Roger Schmidt, who is former coach Leverkusen and Benfica: "If the club can afford it, I will think of Schmidt at the first time." However, he also reminded that it is too early to judge interim coach Eugen Polanski: "He will definitely coach the next game, and there will be an international match day afterwards, which is a window of adjustment."

At the same time, Mattus called on the senior management of Borussia Mönchengladbach to not only solve the problem of the head coach's candidate, but also establish a clear football concept and long-term strategy for the club: "Bergham must be clear about what kind of football he wants to play, whether the players meet this style, and who will assume the responsibility on and off the court."

This Sunday, Polansky will lead the team to a critical battle against Freiburg. As for where Borussia Mönchengladbach will go after international match days, it is still unknown.
