July 10th News Recently, Ferdinand talked about the transfer soap opera between Manchester United and Mbemo in his personal channel. Both of Manchester United's initial offers for Mbemo were rejected because they did not meet Brentford's valuation. Now, Manchester United executives are preparing to submit a third offer of more than £60m in a bid to eventually reach a deal, although it is uncertain whether Brentford will agree.

Ferdinand said in his personal channel: "(Mbemo) has told Tottenham and told Brentford that he only wants to go to Manchester United."

"So Manchester United and Brentford have to agree that Manchester United must find a way to meet Brentford's valuation. I think the offer is 55 million pounds plus 7.5 million pounds additional terms. This may not be enough for Brentford, but I think Manchester United must get the deal. I think this has been dragged on in the news so long that it may not be done by the end of the transfer window."

"I think this will be a situation for Manchester United to lose face unless they go to someone else and find another former ”

"We haven't heard any other names that look close yet. So, if the deal is not reached, I'd be surprised because Manchester United has been determined."

"Things have been made public, they allowed this to happen, and now they have to take action to get it done."

Regarding why Mbemo is suitable for Manchester United, Ferdinand added: "In my opinion, he meets the requirements physically. He is full of energy, can score goals in the Premier League, and understand the Premier League. Let's wait and see."

Brentford hopes to get at least £65 million before he lets Mbemo go. Football Director Phil Giles said: "There are many clubs who are interested in Mbemo. His current preferences have been widely reported. He has had an incredible season and we expect someone to be interested in him. As far as I know, he is happy to stay in Brentford next season if necessary."

"We have talked to Mbemo and his representatives. His departure this summer is not a foregone conclusion. If we receive a suitable offer, there is a possibility of a deal, but we can only talk about it at this point."

Mbemo performed extremely well at Brentford in the 2024/25 season, scoring 20 goals and contributing 8 assists in 38 Premier League games.
