Nottingham Forest is working hard to complete a buzzer-beating deal for Arsenal full-back Olek Sandel Zinchenko.
Forest submitted the transaction documents before 7pm local deadline, and they are fully committed to loaning the Ukrainian international for one season.
Forest turned to Zinchenko because their transfer to Atletico Madrid fullback Xavi Garland failed on the deadline.
Zinchenko, 28, has entered the last 12 months of his contract with Arsenal. He only made 23 appearances in various competitions for the team in the 2024-25 season.
Earlier this month, the Marseille Olympics also tried to run a deal to sign Zinchenko.
The full-back joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, with the transfer fee of £30 million and another £2 million floating clause.
