September 30th Naples head coach Conte was interviewed by Sky Sports, talking about the game lost to AC Milan in this round of Serie A, and looking forward to the Champions League match against Portugal Sports in the early morning of this Thursday.
Conte said: "This is a key game against a strong team. Portugal Sports is the Portuguese Super League champion, and together with Benfica and Porto represent the highest level of Portuguese football. We lost to Manchester City in the first round, but that was the game Di Lorenzo was sent off with a red card, so it was actually very special. We came back from Milan very late, and the preparation time was very limited. The players who played in that game made a recovery adjustment."
Conte continued: "(Fake Milan) Lost? We analyzed the game in depth because we have enough time and players who need to recover their physical fitness. There wasn't much training either.
Conclusion is that we performed better in this game than we did last year against Milan, but we had a hard time winning the game. We had the dominance of this game, but we didn't stay focused as we used to, and we had to do better in some cases."
Conte also talked about the injuries of Spinazzola and Oliveira: "Yesterday they did a separate training, and today we will watch again: if we need to take risks we have to do it, because the team doesn't have many options, and the alternative might be to let Elmas play fullback."
