AC Milan seeks Special Olympics replacement in the transfer market, focusing on Real Madrid again

With the 27-year-old French international Teo officially transferring to Saudi giant Riyadh Crescent, AC Milan successfully received a transfer fee of more than 25 million euros. However, what bothers the team's management team Tare and head coach Allegri the most is how to find the right left back to fill the gap in Teo.

Since joining AC Milan in the summer of 2019, Special O'O has quickly become the main player of the team. With his outstanding physical fitness and technical and tactical skills, he has become an important core on both offense and defense, scoring 34 goals and contributing 45 assists in 262 games. As long as there is no injury or suspension, the fullback will definitely play on the left side of the Ross and Blacks.

Now, Teo's departure put AC Milan in trouble at the left-back position. Although Terraciano and Bad Sagi have potential, their experience is still insufficient; while Espanyol Jimenes is more suitable for offensive roles. Without new players, local midfielder Poberga and Belgian international Salmarquels had to serve as temporary solutions.

Obviously, if Allegri wants to lead the team to the top four in the league, such a manpower configuration will not be able to support the Reds and Blacks' goals. Therefore, the new sports director Tare had to keep a close eye on the transfer market and look for the right candidates who could strengthen the left-back position. The two Real Madrid players became important targets of inspection.

In the past few seasons, AC Milan and Real Madrid have made many successful deals, and the two sides have maintained a good cooperative relationship. In fact, Special O also played for Real Madrid for many years before joining Milan, so it is a reasonable choice to return to the Galaxy to seek signings.

The first thing to note is that the 28-year-old Reguilon is a lower-cost option. He has not yet found a new club as his contract with Tottenham expires this summer. As a player from Real Madrid's youth training, his rich experience cannot be underestimated. Although his competitive state has been ups and downs recently, he can still provide basic guarantees for the Red and Black Legion on the left.

Another player who has attracted much attention from AC Milan is Fran Garcia, who also comes from Real Madrid's youth training system. He has made two appearances with the national team and has performed outstandingly in the just-concluded Club World Cup. Since returning to the Bernabeu in the summer of 2023, Garcia has played 85 games for Real Madrid in various competitions, achieving 2 goals and 11 assists. However, due to the addition of Alvaro Carreras and others, as well as the existence of Mendy and Alaba, Garcia's position in the team is embarrassing. In order to pursue better career development and stable playing time, he seems to be open to transfers. If AC Milan can make a offer of nearly 20 million euros this summer, there may be a chance to convince Real Madrid to let go.
