On June 16, US media revealed: The NBA Raptors are actively promoting the trade of forward player Barrett in the offseason. They hope to exchange for more young potential players and more draft picks in the future. Barrett's trading information has caused crazy consultations from many league playoff teams, and more detailed reports will be launched soon.
25-year-old Barrett played for the NBA Raptors in the 2024-2025 season. He played in a total of 58 games in the regular season, averaged 32.2 minutes per game, scored 21.1 points + 6.3 rebounds + 5.4 assists + 0.8 steals + 0.3 blocks, shooting percentage of 46.0%, three-point shooting percentage of 34.0%, and free throw shooting percentage of 63.0%, which is the highest score-scoring season in Barrett's personal career.
It is reported that the reason why the NBA Raptors traded Barrett was mainly because they believed that his combination with Barrett was seriously incompatible and did not produce a good chemical reaction. So they decided to push down and rebuild the three-core lineup next season, and hoped to exchange for more future team assets through Barrett's trade.
