Two signs and two referees, the Lakers continue to upgrade to the training camp 21-man roster with only 4 days left before the preseason! At the same time, general manager Pelinka was exposed to pressure Riley to try to speed up the Wiggins transaction.

Lakers signed and snatched two snatches

renewed Redick early the day before, extending the latter's remaining contract to $45 million in five years and still adjusting the training camp contract list to sign defender Tayvian Jones, and after laying off guard Jaren Cumberland, he completed two signs and two snatches.

According to the official announcement of the Lakers, the team signed forward Anton Watson and defender Nate Williams, while cutting back Tvian Jones and forward Eric Dickson.

The cutback Tvian Jones signed with the Lakers a day ago. The seemingly meaningless operation is actually to select players for the Lakers Development League team.

The same is true for the two newly signed players. They are likely not to enter the team rotation, and the ones signed are all training camp contracts to prepare for the upcoming training camp.

The two new players Anton Watson and Nate Williams have spent most of their careers in the Development League, and are typical league fringeers.

Anton Watson is 2.03 meters tall and weighs 102 kilograms. He is the No. 54 pick in 24 years. Last season, he mainly played for Celtics Development League teams, averaging 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

Nate Williams is an old acquaintance of the Rockets. He has performed well in the Development League and preseason, and even briefly played for the Rockets in the regular season.

21-man roster upgrade

Although the two signs and two judiciaries did not affect the Lakers' official contract list, some adjustments were made to the 21-man training camp roster. The specific personnel are as follows:

Potential starters: Doncic, Reeves, James, Haymura Leamon and Ayton;

9 formal contract substitutes: Vanderbilt, Vincent, Cleber, Laravia, Smart, Kneckett, Hayes, Brownie and Thiero;

2 two-way contracts: Kroco and Chris Manon;

5 training camp contracts: Nate Williams, Watson, Kelly Keller, RJ Davis and Augustas Marciolionis.

Pellinka accelerates trading

In addition to two optional adjustments, Lakers reporter Jovan Buha also revealed that Pelinka is putting pressure on Heat Riley through Hachimura to try to accelerate the Wiggins trade.

Since the offseason, the Lakers have changed their previous drastic style in the trading market and have not completed any operations. It was not until Doncic signed a three-year contract renewal that the Lakers started operations again and were willing to take over the contract for more than 25-26 seasons.

This includes re-pursuing the Heat forward Wiggins. As early as the beginning of the offseason, the Lakers had pursued Wiggins, but due to the dual issues of price and contract, the two sides failed to have in-depth exchanges.

As the Lakers are willing to take over the contract after the 25-26 season, Wiggins, the former All-Star forward, has become the perfect reinforcement option for the Lakers. The discussion on the bargaining chips between the two sides has been around the first round pick, Hachimura and Kneckett, and Lakers reporter Jovan Buha believes that Pelinka publicly stated in a press conference that considering renewing Hachimura was a kind of pressure on Riley.

Because if the Lakers renew their contract with Hachimura next month, the latter will not be traded within 6 months, which will also lead to the Heat's additional one year of Wiggins' contract.

Therefore, Pelinka publicly stated that she was considering renewing the contract with Hachimura, just like saying to Riley to complete the deal as soon as possible, otherwise the Lakers would have to renew the contract with Hachimura next month, and they would not be able to trade again.
