Kevin Garnett was born in South Carolina, USA on May 19, 1976. He was selected by the Timberwolves with the fifth pick in the first round in the 1995 NBA Draft. Garnett has played for the Timberwolves, Celtics and Nets in his career.

Garnett was selected as the All-Star in his career, 9 best teams, 12 best defensive teams, 4 rebounding champions, was elected as the regular season MVP in 2003-04, was elected as the best defensive player in 2007-08, and won his first career championship with the Celtics in 2008.

On September 24, 2016, Garnett officially announced his retirement. On April 5, 2020, Garnett was officially selected for the Ney Smith Basketball Celebrity Memorial. On March 14, 2022, Garnett's No. 5 jersey was officially retired by the Celtics.
