The Timberwolves officially signed a wing player. Can he survive until the training camp and be cut before being cut?

Minnesota Timberwolves officially announced that the team has signed Nojel Eastern, a former free agent wing player. Although the details of the contract have not been disclosed, we can basically confirm that Easter was given a bootcamp contract containing Exhibit 10 clauses.

With Easter's signing, the Timberwolves currently have 19 players, of which 13 players are holding guarantee contracts, 1 player is holding partial guarantee contracts, 3 players are holding two-way contracts, and 2 players are holding right and non-guarantee contracts. I don’t know what the Timberwolves will do next. Since a team has a maximum number of players in the offseason is 21, they can continue to send out training camp contracts. I don't know if the Timberwolves will keep Easter to training camp and preseason and give him more opportunities to prove his abilities. Of course, if nothing unexpected happens, we should still play for the Iowa Wolves, a subordinate team of the Timberwolves in the NBA Development League field in the new season.

Earlier, Easter once again represented the Timberwolves in the NBA Summer League. He played in the summer league in total, but he only completed his appearances against the Houston Rockets. In 21 minutes and 15 seconds of playing time, he made 1 of 5 shots, 0 of 1 from the three-point line, 2 of 2 free throws, scored 4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 block, and had 1 turnover. In this summer league, Easter's performance was indeed average and did not show off his offensive abilities and characteristics. Therefore, Easter has no way to get a higher level contract.

Easter was born in May 1999 and is 26 years old, 196cm tall and weighs 105kg. He is the undraft in the 2021 NBA Draft. Easter has had experience in the Mexican League after becoming the undraft, but his overall performance is not particularly outstanding. Easter has played for the Iowa Wolves, a team under the Iowa Wolves in the NBA Development League for the past two seasons. In the NBA Development League last season, Easter made a total of 29 appearances, averaging 30 minutes of playing time, averaging 12.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.5 blocks, 2 turnovers and 2.3 fouls, shooting percentage of 52.2%, three-point shooting percentage of 41.9%, and free throw shooting percentage of 74.4%. Easter performed well in the NBA Development League last season. He showed certain scoring ability, he had certain passing ability and organizational ability, he could also play some role on the defensive end, and his offensive efficiency was also quite good.
