On May 17, 2025, the Eastern Conference semi-finals ushered in the G6 battle. The Knicks fought against the Celtics at home, and the Knicks finally defeated the Celtics. This victory broke the 25-year wait and successfully advanced to the Eastern Conference finals with a total score of 4-2. In the first half, the Knicks showed their strong determination in the first quarter, especially the outstanding performance of Towns and Bridges, which helped the team quickly take the lead. In the second quarter, the Knicks were even more powerful. They suppressed the Celtics' offense and defense almost in all aspects. The 38-17 offensive in a single quarter directly put the Celtics in a deep dilemma. At the end of the half, the Knicks had already led by 27 points, and such a point difference almost made the game lose its suspense early. In the second half of the game, the Knicks still did not give the Celtics any chance to breathe, and their lead once widened to 41 points! In this quarter, although the Celtics tried to catch up points, the whole situation was completely in the hands of the Knicks. After the third quarter, the score difference has reached 35 points, and the game has basically come to an end. In the last quarter, both sides began to withdraw their main players early, and all that was left was the performance time for the players on both sides. In the end, the Knicks won with an easy score without any suspense.

It is worth mentioning that Hart made 3 of 8 shots in the game, including 1 of 3 three-pointers and 3 of 4 free throws, scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

Hart became the first player in team history to win a triple-double in the playoffs in 53 years after becoming Walter Fraser in 1972; and the third player in team history to win a triple-double in 1952 after Mike Quayle.

Knicks 119-81 Celtics, with a 38-point victory in the team record, and the previous record was 55 years ago: the second round of G5 against the Bucks in 1970 had a net victory of 36 points.

25 years, the Knicks have finally returned to the Eastern Conference Finals! The last showdown was in 2000, and it also played against the Pacers. This moment is simply a moment worth remembering for the Knicks fans. However, the Cavaliers, the first and second in the East, and the Celtics were both eliminated. Have you thought of such a result?
